Madrid

So back to work . . .

Mia, Jose, Jonathan.
For Mia's husband.

(These are the things flight attendants share with each other.)

Another one of those great bathroom mirror photos. This one is in my room at the Husa Princessa

Above, views from my hotel room. (Remember, this was the end of February.)

Below, REALLY hard to get photos of the supermarcado in El Corte Ingles (next to the hotel).

I innocently snapped two photos before a rush of employees stopped me. Five employees rushing towards me with frightened and worried expressions on their faces? I got the idea. I put my camera away, continued to shop and then THREE more people,at separate times, approached me to tell me (in Spanish of course) that photos were NOT allowed. I had been up all night working and then went straight out shopping (I usually sleep for a few hours before going out on layovers) so something that normally would have been humurous became annoying. You should of seen me trying to yell at those guys in my broken spanish. . .always ending in "soy comprendo! soy comprendo!" (I probably should have been saying "yo entiendo".) Anyway, I was trying to take photos because Madrid is where I do most of my shopping; grocery and other ("other" meaning Zara). I was back to work, doing my normal things. . .But don't even THINK I tried to take photos at Zara. Those Spaniards beat it all out of me.

And last, a little pre-party with my crew in Adria's room (above, standing). For most of them, this is the FIRST thing they did before going out and partying all night long. I had been up for over 24 hours so it was the last thing I did before hitting the sack and sleeping all night long.

Now don't get mad that I didn't go out and party too. . .remember I had just been on vacation. It was time to get back to doing "normal" things like going to the grocery store, etc. etc.

My next trip? Barcelona. Stay tuned.
