So Many Blondes Feb 25-March 1

ST. George and Zion National Park
Feb 25-27
As soon as we arrived from New York Wednesday morning, we hopped in a car with heather and headed off to her condo in St. George.

Of course, the first thing we did was hit the hot tub

Some people are skilled at taking really good pictures of themselves.  We are not.

The next morning we drove to Zion National park and hiked this:

please click on link above to read more about it.

Like rock stars, we made it to the top

Heather is deathly afraid of heights so this was actually a HUGE accomplishment.

And then back down again . . .

On our way back we saw this:

Gorgeous. Angel's landing is one of my favorite hikes; even in February!

Afterwards, we decided to stop off at Weeping Rock.
why not?

Anne wanted to go see the temple so we stopped off on our way home. The lighting was perfect.

If you look to the top left, you can see venus.

Last day, Friday, was cleaning and packing day.  We had a couple of birthday parties we had to get to up north.

Goodbye St. George!  Good bye warm weather!

Shanna's Birthday Party, Feb 27th

This kind of thing always happens to me : Marte's birthday is on Feb 28th and Shanna's is on March 2nd, they both had their birthday party on the same night!!! They are both such good friends, it took me awhile to figure out what to do. I ended up splitting the night in half.

First I went to Shanna's birthday party at 6 PM.  We were meeting at INDIA HOUSE, one of her favorite restaurants. I know people in Utah think Bombay House is the only option for Indian food, but they are wrong. There are several excellent options in Salt Lake, one of which being India House.

Sometimes I take such BAD pictures!  Above is heather giving Shanna a gift in one of her company's (Hullabaloo) gift boxes. Why didn't I  take a better photo of you Heather?!  Sorry!

Of course, Shanna and Cher.
Shanna has been my friend since 2001.  We met in Philly where she was going to school at Moore College of Art and Design
This girl has done so much for me and has been such a good friend over the years, I absolutely couldn't miss her birthday this year.

Marte's Birthday Party Feb 27
10pm

I met Marte first in Norway when I was flying to Oslo all the time.  Last year, she moved to Utah to go to BYU.  Have I seen her more since moving to the states?  Ironically, a little bit less. This birthday party was the main reason for Anne's visit.  They met first at Marte's in Provo then had dinner at Pizzeria 712.
Apparently the dinner was such a success, they didn't leave until 10:00 PM. . .
Which caused them to miss Jazz night at the Grand America.

Oh well. We hung out in the half deserted bar and had a fun time anyway.

Here's Marte and her virgin mojito

There must have been too much lime in that virgin mojito!

Me and Anne

Anne taking phots of Marte with Lene and ???(I will remember soon and put her name in)
Lene as the sexy librarian . . .
at least thats what everyone says when I wear my glasses so Lene gets it too!

Birthday girl walking

The Grand America Bar closed at midnight so we decided to go bar hopping in Salt Lake.  Problem was, non of us knew where to go! ( I actually think a lot of people have this problem in Salt Lake.)
We ended up on Broadway (300S), my old stomping grounds, at the Tavernacle. . .which I had never been to before. I just knew that's where my sister Jana and all of her film buddies would hang out.  Well, by that time, I guess the Tavernacle was not happening either so we decided to call it a night.
Happy Birthday MARTE!!! (Marie)

I have been hanging out with just the girls lately and it has been so fun, and so good!  It's been awhile. . .
