A Side of Newark Few Have Seen

Okay, so one day in early february (2 years ago),Kara and I were bored (see above). We were on reserve for the first 5 days of the month and we weren't getting called out on any trips. As most of you know, Kara and I were crash pad roomates at 97 Chestnut in Newark. We did all we could do inside. So we decided to see what we could do OUTSIDE. In Newark. But close to home, just in case we were called on a trip.

We discovered an art gallery.

and a horse

Who would've thought the day would've turned out so well. . .
Below is a birthday party for a flight attendant friend of mine, Jaime.
In Newark. Of course.
And my favorite, favorite shop of all time.
A few months later it was closed. There's no accounting for taste in Newark.
Seriously, I'm still really sad about this.
