The fact is; I love Velentines Day. I always have; I always will. I love hearts and pink and I love frosted heart sugar cookies and home made valentines and love. I love the idea of love.
What a complex complicated thing that one word represents. As a native English speaker, I have such a hard time expressing love. There are so many different kinds and depths! English does not give us much to work with when trying to describe how we feel about people. What does "I love you," mean anyway?
I'll throw that out to the Universe and move on.
This Valentines Day, I flew to Barcelona and spent time with Shawn, a very good friend of mine. He made me a Valentine and I made him one and we were both so happy and warm. Barcelona is a beautiful city with delicious food. A perfect setting for this kind of "love."
My heart has been over-flowing with love and happiness . . .it is such a nice change from how I've been feeling. The last few months were a little down, a little dark. The Spring is beginning to spread its light through my soul and hope and faith and love are being illuminted.
I prefer writing over posting pictures. I know most people prefer pictures over my writing. So be it. I will keep this in mind because I love my blog viewers . . . but today I will do a little writing.. .
I was watching PURPLE RAIN a little while ago. I used to love Prince when I was in 4th grade, in effect, making him one of my first crushes. I felt a shade of those early feelings as I watched. (I dont care what anybody says, that guy is unique, talented, and sexy . . .) BUT, something happened half way through. I felt empty. I felt a warmth go away.
I changed the channel and felt better.
All that rock star sex and art is thrilling but sometimes leaves me with a disatisfied feeling. That movie was not positive. Thats all I know. Will you analyze it for me and figure out what happened?
So I changed the channel to the Sci Fi channel and left it on Battlestar Gallactica (a new one, not the old). Consequently, I lost interest in TV and started writing in this blog.
That, I think, was a very positive thing. . .

Dublin, Dublin; nice.
Utah so much fun! I designed candle holders with Shanna and Heather and we stayed up until 1 am laughing and laughing and laughing. My cute, YOUNG home teachers came to visit me (22 and 23!) and we shared music and gospel love.
Barcelona you know.
Brussells
I bought a lace table cloth for Katies wedding and some chocolates and face moisturizer. The Table cloth is from Toebac . The chocolates were purchased at Leonidas , where I love the Fresh Creams and the moisturizer is from La Maison du Miel
On the flight back, there were many African refugees who have spent years in refugee camps waiting for visas and sponsors so that they can leave and start a new life. They were all so nice and excited and beautiful with their big eyes and attempts to speak English and deal with the strange culture and food. I learned to Love those refugees and the people that were trying to help them and sponsor them. Since the flight was not full, I tried to find window seats for the children so that they could focus their big eyes on the big world that they would be flying over and experiencing for the first time.
Tomorrow I go to Dublin again. Anne is flying in from Norway after that with a day in New York. . .then Milan? Then. . who knows? Something exciting I am sure!
