I'm in Hong Kong.
I took a walk today. Although Hong Kong is much like China town in New York, the people here are much more interesting. They are much more international, much more high end, and much more talkative to fellow foreigners. I could see how you could definately meet someone in Hong Kong.
Also, Chinese from Hong Kong take pride in their knowledge of the latest trends and strive to dress apporpriately.
I love watching TV in Asia. The style of the tv ads have such a different feel. They do things you wouldn't see in America or Europe.
I skipped paying for a tourist visa to Shin Zen (just a ferry ride over to Mainland China) and instead stayed here. I actually didnt even go to Hong Kong Island. I stayed on the Kowloon side. We stay at the Regal Kowloon Hotel. It still has an old style Hong Kong Swank feel to it even though it was probably built in the 70's.
I did a little shopping, Christmas shopping for my mother. Our dollar isn't so hot these days and things are not as cheap in Hong Kong as they used to be. So don't expect a lot of fabulous gifts from china; just a few stocking stuffers.
I am not in a writing mood so cannot do Hong Kong justice.
I love my job. I absolutely love it.
