Calgary

I changed my mind at the last minute and went to Canada instead of Utah. I am not in a writing mood except that I wrote a poem today and want to share it. It wrote itself while I was seated in Row 15C from Calgary to Houston.

This is the poem, (it is as yet unnamed):

2/25/06
I do not ever want to feel that way again
when your words shrink and your brain stops
and all you can think of is, "I love you,"
and "you complete me"
And after the month that it consumes
your whole world you are left with
nothing like moisture evaporating
in the sun;
No trace, no mark on your heart.

I know there is a world where
that fantastic cloudy abyss of
nothing doesn't evaporate
but condenses into
An ocean that never seems
too deep,or too mysterious,
or too well known.

It's that ocean I want
with all of it's depth and
unique colors and life
that makes you want to create more,
do more, be more.
In short,
it is your Muse as
you learn what True
Love really is;
Frightening and Deep and as
Timeless and Strong as the Ocean.
