Amber Comes to New York

Hurray! AMber came to New York. But first, the vacation started out in Philadelphia, the half-way mark between New York and DC and the place where AMber, Melissa and I all met. After coming back from Frankfurt, I rode the train to Philly. Here we are in Rittenhouse Square. . .and trying to take a photo of ourselves was as always challenging and relatively unsuccessful. . .

. . .But fun
Roses, roses roses. . .the roses were out EVERYWHERE. . .it was JUne

In New York again, here were are at the restaurant Wallse in the West Village

I took hardly any photos inside because. . . .well becaue we were having such a great time. Its Austrian food with a modern twist. Tom (above middle) works as a chef at Wallse. He is roomates with Russell who is a very nice guy from California whom Amber knows. We had the royal treatment. . . Chef Gutenburger himself (the owner) was there and sat at our table. . .we were served many extra dishes; pate liver schnitzel, lobster, etc that we didnt order. . .
anyway, am in a hurry so can't do it justice. Basically it was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and it ended up being "on the house". . .we had a 500 dollar meal on the house . . . . .what more could you ask for?

Another night we went to Lombardi 's with Russell

And of course, we did a million other fun things and I only took a few dark and blurry snap shots of restaurants. . . .well at least I took those!
