My trip to Asia began with a trip into New York to get a Chinese Tourist Visa at the Chinese Embassy.
After my trek into New York, I went to work: Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Rome. The Rome was a special trip because I only had to work the flight over. This happens when there is an aircraft change. Two flight attendants were not needed and I was lucky enough to be one of them. I asked to get released in Rome and caught an Alitalia flight from there to Narita, Japan.I have somewhow managed to get photos of everything that is not interesting and missed everything that was but here goes:
Below, the gate in Rome

Above is a photo from my coach seat. I was so exhausted from being up all night working that I had to do something about my seat. I explained my situation to a really nice male flight attendant (I have been up all night working, flight attendant for Continental, need a seat that has more leg room because I was at the bulk head, would you help me look for one?) He said he would do what he could do. I smiled gratefully and took my seat again. I was extremely exhausted.
Next thing I knew this angel of a flight attendant asked me to see my ticket (ie code for we are moving you up to first class and making it look like you are supposed to be there). I "showed" it to him and I was suddenly ensconced in a seat in First Class. I was saved.
Check out this leg room.

These two were sitting in front of me. One is an Alitalia flight attendant travelling to a wedding with his buddy. They told me they kept looking back at me throughout the flight because they were jealous that I could sleep so well. I told them; all you've got to do is work a flight from New York to Rome and then you can sleep through anything.
My new friends invited me to Sicily any time I want to go and I just may take them up on that offer.
So concludes my flight from FCO to NRT
